What are you Thankful for??

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving again this year with our family and friends!! Each Thanksgiving as a family we like to take the time to talk about the things we are thankful for. Last week for our family night lesson we asked each of the girls to tell us one thing that they were thankful for. Here are a few of their responses: Melody said " I am thankful for my family, Alyssa said " I am thankful that we can eat our food and get healthy" , Ella said "I am thankful for books" and Emily said she was "thankful for her baby Olivia"

There is so much in this life that I am thankful for. Here are only a few! I am thankful for the sunshine, it makes me happy! I am thankful everyday for MY life, and for my health and for the good health of my girls. I am thankful for wonderful parents who love me and who taught me what was right, and who took time to play and have fun with our family. I am thankful for a wonderful husband who takes such good care of me and our girls, and who tries hard everyday to do what is right. I am thankful for the 3 best sisters in the WORLD! They are my best friends! Of course I am also grateful everyday to be a mom of the 5 greatest girls ever! They bring so much joy to my life! ( I know, I sound like mom, but its true!) My life has been greatly blessed!!
What are you thankful for??????

School Days

WAITING FOR THE BUS!!

What a perfect cool crisp morning to start school. Everyone was very excited and a little nervous while getting ready for the big day this morning! I have to admit, I was a little sad to see them leave, no tears, just missing them. Alyssa was a bit more sad as you can tell from the picture of her and Ella. In the pictures, if you look closely Melody's face is red and her eyes are a little teary. Heres what happened. While getting out of the van the side door started closing and hit her on the head. She ended up with a pretty good bump on the top of her head. In between pictures she was crying! What a good sport to stand and smile anyway! Ella is starting 5th grade (SOO big) Emmy is in 3rd grade and Melody will be going ALL day in 1st grade. They are all growing up to quickly! Hope they all have a happy day! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Somewhere over the Rainbow
After a rainy dark storm we had on Saturday night, I was surprised when coming out of Wal-mart to see this colorful rainbow! (it was much brighter to see in person) What a treat! It made me feel so happy and really made my night. We really do live in a beautiful world!

No Training Wheels

HOORAY MELODY!

Melody has learned in one day how to ride her bike with no training wheels! Daddy took the training wheels off a couple weeks ago, and since then Melody has decided to stick to riding the scooter, because she was too afraid to try her bike for fear that she might fall off and get hurt. She even asked Mark to put her training wheels back on, to which he answered " I told you that once the training wheels came off, they would stay off." Well, today, Mark took the girls down the road to ride bikes on the pavement instead of our dirt driveway. Melody decided that she wanted to have daddy help her learn to ride her bike. Well, he only had to balance her and run along side of her for about 15 seconds, he let go, and she was off! YEAH Melody!! She was so proud of herself. She came right home to show me, and of course I was so happy for her. She is already riding like a pro!!

Happy 8th Birthday Emily!!!!

I just want to take a minute to tell you all about my sweet Emily on her 8Th birthday. Well, first of all for those of you who don't know she is the 2ND of 5 girls. Emily Rebekah was born on April 16Th 2001, weighing 8 lbs even. It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital! Now 8 years later she is a tall beautiful girl, who loves to dance and sing, and dance! And what an awesome dancer she is too. And I am not just saying that because I am her mother. Emily is so loving to her sisters, and always tries to do what is right. This Saturday is Emily's baptism! We are so excited that she has made this important choice to be baptized. I love my Emmy, she is such a good girl, and I am so thankful that she is a part of our family. She is a wonderful example to all those around her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Rolling baby!

I'm a big kid now!

Well, it finally happened! Olivia decided, at 7 months old (yesterday, to be exact) to roll over tonight. Her cousin Zachary has been rolling from his back to belly since he was about 4 months old! WOW! I guess thats the difference between boys and girls. Her big sisters, Ella and Emily were very proud of her. We all sure do love our "little dolly"

Girls Sledding

"WEEEEEEEEE"

The girls had a great time sledding together after school today. I was a little hesitant to send Alyssa out , but she did great! As you can see from the video she spent most of her time sledding without a sled. It was so fun to watch them laughing and screeching together. It was also sweet to watch the big girls help Alyssa up that "big" hill. It was a little tricky for her little legs. After about an hour of sledding I called them in for oatmeal, and hot chocolate! They should all sleep well tonight!!
